The colleague next to me even picked it up and turned it over and over, asking where I bought it and saying, “It looks like I want to take a bite of it.”

Of course, the object that is constantly exposed to wind and rain and carried around by us every day simply having a good appearance is not enough. It also needs to be durable. I once bought a fabric pendant, which was nice-looking, but it had crevices where dust could accumulate, and it was afraid of deforming after being washed. Eventually, I had to leave it unused. This PVC material is much more sturdy. The surface is dense and smooth, and it doesn’t absorb water or dust. Once I accidentally spilled some milk while drinking tea, and with a tissue, I wiped it clean. Another time, it was raining, and the bag was placed on the bike pedal and got wet for over half an hour. After shaking off the water, the small bag remained bright and shiny, and no color faded. Even when it was squeezed together with lipstick and hand cream in my bag, no scratches could be seen when I took it out. I even had an odd sense of fun and forcefully twisted it, and when I released my grip, it “popped” back to its original state, neither whitening nor deforming. This “no matter how you handle it, you won’t feel the slightest regret” property is extremely friendly for those of us who are carefree.

And that hanger deserves a compliment. I lost my keychain twice before. Both times it happened because the connection part became loose and it just disappeared as I was walking. This one has been in use for over half a year. The metal ring is securely fastened, fitting perfectly together, and there is absolutely no sign of it loosening at all.

When people hear the term “three-dimensional pendants”, they might think that only primary school students use them. But that’s not the case at all. Nowadays, there are numerous 3D PVC styles, including minimalist three-dimensional capital letters, sleekly designed miniature buildings, and even small plates with traditional Chinese patterns. The three-dimensional texture gives the originally flat patterns an engraved appearance, and the texture actually improves. I have a friend who works in design. The sunlight slanted down, casting three-dimensional shadows that immediately added depth to the scene. Compared to the dull flat keychain, it looks much more lively in the camera shot.

It doesn’t have to be expensive, but the recipient can sense that you put effort into it. Last time for my best friend’s birthday, I chose her favorite chihuahua three-dimensional design. She immediately opened the pouch and put it on, saying, “This is definitely mine.” This feeling of being able to use it immediately is much better than giving a decorative item that gets dusty at home.

After using so many keychains, the one that remained on the keychain and was touched every day turned out to be this unremarkable little bread. It doesn’t steal the spotlight, but every time I take out the keys, the soft and plump texture in my hand always makes me feel a little more at ease. It’s not expensive, not delicate, not picky about the person using it, yet it can make the most insignificant actions in daily life not so mundane. Sometimes thinking about it, the happiness of life might be hidden in these soft and pliable little details.
